Anyway here's Chapter 149.

During his meal Pickle recalls a memory! What childhood memories influence him?!

LOL Pickle ate a bee. Doing something like that has to leave a strong memory. Looks like that saved him today.

I'm excited, can't wait to know what happens next. I'm sort of debating with himself, should I just go ahead and do a translation with the LQ scans. I can always edit the post when HQ raws come out.

Since I'm bored I'll just post a translation of chapter 150. When a MQ/HQ RAW is released I'll edit the post with the pics. For now Ill use placeholders.

Look's like people are still coming, I saw no one posting so I thought something was wrong.

Retsu and Katsumi made great strides and leveled up during the battle. Well I guess he didn't really "lose". If it was just Pickle and Jack in the arena he would've eventually regained consciousness on his own, since Pickle refused to eat him. Tokugawa screwed up his plan, then dragged him to the hospital.

"Ima ichido kimi ni minaosaretai". - This line is a little tricky to translate into one line.

Basically because Oliva was doing that hankerchief game she was put off. Baki wanted Oliva to show his true colors, that's why he got in the bed with her. "A Man's fight is just a simple fight to knock each other down". Now that Oliva understands this he wants to make it up to her"

The kanji for "seeing" and a kanji for "healing" or "doing over" are used.

Basically he just wants Maria to see her in a better light. Not as the guy that plays with hankerchiefs, but as someone who can go all out and put his whole heart and soul into the fight.

"Right here and now I want to start over and be seen in awe by you"

Keeping the context intact that's the best translation I can think of.

Time has passed and I'm in my 20's now. I'm not the most perfect translator out there but I do this for fun more then anything else. I want to take more classes but you'd be surprised how hard it in to learn japanese in NY.

Somewhat unrelated, but I have wondering for a long while: Anyone know if there is a chance in the future for a new season of the Grappler Baki anime?

I'm worried that it may have bombed; since it's kinda old (7+ years) I can't find any info, and the second season seemed to have a drop in the animation quality so it may have pointed to a lower budget and low ratings...

Watching the Convict Saga animated would be great. That and Oliva for more than one episode. Though it may have become too gruesome for today's networks...


About the manga, I can't wait to see what happens next. Specially because before falling unconscious, Jack was praying to God for anything; why is he throwing himself at Pickle again if he was in such panic?

I've read chapter 147. There really isn't much to translate here. The horrifying massacre speaks for itself. Thinking about this chapter there isn't really a need to wait for a HQ release.

Did you guys know that on the second season of the anime BAKI THE GRAPPLER (first episode) you can see a glipse of SPECK in the list of fighters that Mitsunari is listing?

also, did you know that the story of RETSU KAIOU that is depicted on Baki the search of our strongest hero, is fully animated in the second season of Grappler Baki? and that Oliva appears in the anime when in that manga chapter he never appears, they were giving you hints of an eventual 3rd season of anime.

Thanks Tophunter! Although I already have this OST. There are some songs missing that are in The Grappler Baki second season, I was wondering if there was another OST released.

As for chapters 106/107 I might translate them on a whim. No guarantees, I can be lazy.

The Best song from this OST has to be "Decisive Battle" the second part of the song, halfway through. It makes me remember when Yujiro pummeled Doppo to near death.

It's not so foolish to remember that the translators of Baki on Ritual make that for FREE (whereas an other english team do that for cash...) so don't press them too much, they have a job, a life, and don't have all the time for this job...

So, wait a bit and you'll have sooner or later all of the translations of SOO. You can also use babelfish to translate from french to english.

Currently, nearly all SOO has been translated, about 150 chapters, which is huge, especially when it is not a team, but the job of a single person who have no website, so no ads or whatever to gain some money...
