Oh, Baki SHOULD be next... in fact, he MUST be next...

Pickle saga has begun about nine volumes ago, it's been more than a year that SOO has focused on an only character, even the Prisoner Saga (17 volumes!) was more... how to say that... diversified, because there were five convicts who each other depicted a different message dispatched by Itakagi.

But we all remember the "eight gang" in the military base : the "survivors" are :

-Jyaku Kaiou (who was completly destroyed by Retsu in the Raitai... so he's "a little" outcast...)
-Kureka Shinogi (even if he has his "cutting" technique, it can't be serious to see him fight!).
-Gaia (although I really like this character, the environnemental battle method won't do so much damage to the prehistoric man).

The most serious pretendants, besides Baki, are :

-Doppo Orochi (after all, he was the previous Legend before Baki became Champion... )
-Gouki Shibukawa (perhaps one of the strongests fighters... he beat Kureha, Doppo, made a great match against Jack... managed to neutralize Oliva... crushed Ali Jr...)

But even Doppo or Gouki should be considered as "inferior" to Jack Hammer, so I don't see the point in making them fight... Even if they are more "technical" than Jack, who is mainly "brute force"...

So... I think... no, I reallly hope... more than that, I *pray* that Baki will be the next opponent.

It's also makes me a bit sad, because after Pickle/Baki, it will be the final saga : Baki/Yujirô, and it means the end of a manga who made it to approximatively 100 volumes... Sigh.

Either way, "everything that has a beginning has an end", so...

When I said "usui" I didn't mean to make it a stereotypical problem.

From Yujiros way of phrasing the sentence he doesn't mean "because his mother isn't japanese".

It's just that Baki receives his father's traits stronger than Jack. This has nothing to do with ethnicity.

Yujiro's blood is more dominant in Baki. That's all.

Seeing Sonikku's translation, the blood thing seemed more egotistical than ethnocentric, just Yuujirou being Yuujirou("he lost so obviously my blood is too thin in him"), I'm more comfortable with that translation than the diluted part, though it still is tiresome to see Jack go out how he did.

You know what I never got, why is Kunimistu despite being such an accomplished master ignored in the the main Baki story. I always felt IMO he was one of the best masters. Especially when you consider that his techniques are the most effective and lethal in Baki history: Ku-Do and Janken Doku-Shu Seriously, this guy is a monster and his student Yanagi beat shibukawa three times.

Well this is what I can understand :

There is 3 scenes on this summary :

1rst scene ( The restaurant ) : Tokugawa is having a meal with Doctor Albert Payne. They are talking about Pickle.Wondering about his state of health . He did'nt eat since a long time...

But Doctor Payne realized something really important ...
Then Tokugawa wants to know ...Asking , and asking again .
Doctor Payne is like saying that Pickle has already something to eat .

And after a moment Tokugawa figured it out....OH !But , of course !!!

2 nd scene : Baki feel real upset because He desires to fight Pickle so much that he doesn t want anybody else to challenge him.

Pickle sence a nice smell . A smell of fresh meat in the aire .
It's ALLEN PAYNE , who came to see Pickle . He brought 40 kilogrammes of T-REX meat . Allen prefer to keep 100 meters back from Pickle . Just in case , so he throw the meat at him .
Pickle felt grateful to Allen for his present and then he give a piece of it to Baki , as a reward .

At first , Baki didn't want to eat with pickle , but reconsidering the situation with compassion....He tasted the raw meat ,

And it'was a pleasant tasting !

So Baki is certainly eating with Pickle . I dont know exactly when he came . After Allen Payne left the place , maybe at the same time ...?!?
And he doesn't even know what he's eating .

Itagaki's said on that picture as a teaser for the next chapter :

They are starving ,so they couldn't fight !
Now they can Fight anywere, anytime ....They're ready to do it , it's going to start !

I wonder what Pickle's thoughts about Baki will be. A enemy stronger then Retsu Katsumi and Jack, but stronger then anyone he's faced.

Baki's fighting sense has reached a new plateau. I'm Baki as he is now could even do Katsumi's new Mach punch. He was able to copy the original at the maximum tournament. I'm sure Baki can do way better.

Yep, same goes for me, Baki can use any technique he witnesses. So he may use the mach punch, but could he find a way not to destroy his fist, that is an other question...
