In the arena Pickle destroys the tiger easily (as expected) by snapping it's spine and practically folding him in half. Baki reads about it in the paper but doesn't seem to really care. (?)

Garouden c199

Himekawa punches the wrestler in the chin (as we saw last chapter) then we get a flashback to when the wrestler was just a punk and how he started wrestling. Then we see that while he seemed to be falling down he grabbed Himekawa's wrist.

I wonder if he'll be able to do anything yet though. I expect him to try a wrestling/grappling move and Himekawa to still escape at the last minute or something. Similar to when the other guy grabbed Himekawa's wrist in his previous fight, except the wrestler won't be knocked out so easily since taking damage seems to be his forte.

I will see well Jack Hanma challenging Pickle, I would like this fight happened. It is clear that Pickle is a monster.

Moreover I want to benefit from it to renevir on his victory face to Yujiro. Some say,and me first, that this victory was only factitious. But, when I reconsider this demonstration , i will say that Pickle is definitively the strongest.

We already had the occasion to see a Battle of speed or showdowns; Recall: Baki grappler 1 season: Baki tests its speed face to a master of Kendo, facing it with a true Japanese sabre.

Hanma Yujiro, faces a Master which handles the arc art. At the time he launches its arrow, Yujiro,using its speed, arrives to put back in its hostler the arrow before it left......

Yujiro unlaces Kasumi's laces before he could realized it .
Finaly, I think that Pickle is far from being as stupid animal as he seams to be.

Ali Jr gets totally schooled in 28-29!!!

I also would like to see Jack Hammer return so we can see how much stronger he's gotten since fighting Sikorski/Ali Jr. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing Jack have his own manga series (Jack the Grappler as Silviu once said)

Baki's lazy attitude is still getting on my nerves...

Jack showed how much of a monster he was when he fought Ali. Jr.
Taking does quick and powerful punches right on the chin and getting up. He's a monster for sure and is probably only second to Baki, but then again Baki seems to have gotten even stronger for no particular reason other than the plot calling for it.


Or he can make an appearence on Hanayama scarface, because it seems like that's where the action is as of now. Pickle, Ali Jr, Guevera, Oliva, and the rest of Korakuen can come too. Leave Baki's lazy butt by himself and turn his series too a romance/drama manga.

No problem silviu, we do have public releases, the catch is that nobody knows when they are going to be, not even myself, I know people get impatient but that's the benefit of being part of the wild fang project, but don't worry, as soon as we have a public release, I'll let you all know.

Do those deluxe editions actually have improved drawing inside? Like with 'Bastard!' Or is it just the same thing with a fancy cover?

The A5 edition of BAKI THE GRAPPLER, is only a prestige format, much like the AKIRA published by dark horse here in the states, the only thing better is the quality and it's a bigger format and that you can buy Grappler Baki on the stores, since the books are sold out quick and they dont want to let the consumer assume that he has to buy the books used by force to continue on SON OF OGRE, they re issue Baki in better formats.

Baki it's over!!! did you like the ending?

Well, New Grappler Baki, anyway. I already read the raw japanese version, but your version helped me understand the ending a bit better.

The ending was interesting, I was expecting an epic battle between Ali Jr and Baki, but what happened instead makes since. I was wondering though, did Kozue leave Baki for Ali Jr? She hugged him and that's the last time we've see them since.

Not really, Kozue kinda let Baki take care of business without getting in the mix, she retires and she said that she will wait for him to finish up business, which will take a long time from now, most likely ayear and half...until Pickle appeared.

I ordered the fist 2 Deluxe editions of Baki, but they won't be here until about mid-January. When they get here I'll be sure to show everyone.

Speaking of which, the Baki Deluxe editions 3 and 4 are to be released January 18th. This is the same release date as the Pickle manga book.

any news about the Baki chapters on weekly shonen champion 2008 N° 04-05, a lot of chapters over there that we are missing, how is the process to get raws for the ritual scanforge? who or where they look out for them?

Most likely not, my books are part of a collection and I don't think I'd want to damage them by scanning them. This is why I'd rather pay someone to scan them and translate them so that I can enjoy the story and still keep my books in their respective conditions.

What's crazy about that? In order to properly scan a volume you have to take all the pages out, i.e. pretty much destroy it.

has the following 3 chapters:


#91.5　「to become aware」...the beginning all color Chinese style
#092　「success」...beginning color
#093　「agent VS military force」　

So, it's three chapters at once, (nice!) and the beginning of a new story arc. Maybe another tournament including Pickle or something? Or maybe not so formal but they really need to finish up some of the secondary characters' stories. (i.e. have a bunch more fights)

They worked in the Pickle volume as Baki "volume 10.5" by the way. And I see they made chapter a 91.5? lol.

EDIT: Oh, I see, the 'color' means chapter 91.5 is all in color and for chapter 92 the first page is in color.
