2 men are in the snowfields.
It's -35 degrees C, but the ice isn't thick enough to go by horseback.
The guy with the weird haircut had a younger sister,
and had married into the family of a wealthy treasurer.
The groom was a young man guaranteed of a high position and wealth.
And the man who introduced him to the sister was her older brother...
named Wekapipo.
Wekapipo was the debut single of SOUL'd OUT in 2003.
Congrats boys. Even though you guys contributed the theme song to
a supposedly crappy movie...
Wekapipo was in the Royal Guard, and his sister's fiancee was one of his friends he knew through work.
However, that's when things began to fall apart.
6 months into the marriage.
Wekapipo visits his sister's home, and finds his sister crying in the dark,
with the left side of her face badly bruised.
He tries to find her husband to make him pay,
but his sister stops him, saying that she's the one to blame
for not being a loveable wife.
During the scuffle, she accidently knocks over a flower vase,
and Wekapipo then discovers that her left eye is completely blind.
Wekapipo quickly and secretly gets help from the church and the Pope,
issuing a marriage annulment. And since it was he who introduced his
sister, he was prepared to lose his job.
Which pissed off the ex-husband, since all he received in the end
was humiliation. So he challenged Wekapipo to a duel.
The dueling weapons: steel balls!
The traditional weapons of their ancestors!
The duel ended with Wekapipo's steel ball cracking the skull of his opponent, killing him.
But he had lost in the end.
The "witnesses" in the fair duel subdues Wekapipo with the steel ball
of their own. Wekapipo does not understand.
Although it was a fair duel, the father of the loser is too important to the
country. And a simple guard like Wekapipo can easily be "erased."
But the leading witness allows him to leave the country, reporting that he was dead. And he must never return to Neapolis again.
The witness removes his hood...
...revealing the face of Gregorio Zeppeli.
Back to the race.
We see President Funny Valentine give orders for recovering the corpse
in the 6th STAGE, the deaths of Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, and offers citizenship and high positions for him and his family.
Unfortunately, Wekapipo's sister died of illness last year.
The duo in the cold is Wekapipo, and another guy in a stovepipe hat,
called Magent Magent. Looks like he has some cold-controlling abilities...
Where are they? Right next to the strait between Lake Michigan and Lake Superior.
Magent complains about the cold, and tries to talk with Wekapipo, who doesn't. What he wants to do, is to simply finish the job, get the money, find a place to live, and live a simple life here. And they're off.
We hear a line from Magent, that Wekapipo has a higher knowledge of the steel ball than of the Zeppeli family, which would guarantee victory.
Wekapipo replies that "only paying respect to the steel ball of the Zeppeli clan" would guarantee their victory.
Meanwhile, Gyro bounces his ball on the ice to check its thickness.
Too thin to cross by horse. So they would need to find a ferry.
They notice followers.
Well, what do you know?
It's Pocoloco, Barba Yaga and Higashikata Norisuke.

Oh yeah, there was a race going on, wasn't there??
Johnny says that the next body parts-the legs are somewhere near the
end of the stage. Possibly under the ice...
Pocoloco charges into the lake, unafraid of the ice.
Gyro is nervous, not forgetting that his main goal is the win the race,
and unless he wins this stage, his chances in the last 3 stages will become infinitely slim.
Pocoloco might have discovered the old routes of the local natives,
which were made up of numerous logs buried in the ice, to strengthen it.
But is there such a route? And 8 kilometers long?
The two ride onto the ice...and see 2 more riders behind them.
One on horseback, and one on a sleigh.
And they're coming right at them.
Gyro seems to know one guy, but can't exactly remember.
We see the man on horseback throw something,
and Gyro could not believe what he is seeing. Another steel ball!
Luckily, Gyro blocks the ball with his own...but not before
the "studs" on the opponent's ball break away into "mini-balls"
and fly at the two.
Both Gyro and Johnny are now down on the iced lake,
and Gyro finally ID's the man as Wekapipo, who was supposedly dead.
Then things get bizarre.
Johnny discovers that his body is being sliced and slowly being unraveled,
and the same thing happens to Gyro...
"The characteristic of the Zeppeli clan...
is the 'strength of the golden rectangle'. Our power is beyond that!"
says Wekapipo.
