I have to admit I'm glad Baki gets to fight Pickle. Since his confrontation with Jack in the maximum tournament there hasn't been any fights with people that push him beyond his set limits.

Sure he had a few scuffles with the criminals but non of them were real confrontations. He ended up getting poisoned by Yanagi then taken off the china. There he recovers and fights the snake hands user and kaku's son. None of them pushed him beyond the limit though. His fight with Ali Jr. was finished in a few seconds.

Well until recently when he faced off with Oliva which triggered his hidden abilities to come out. Now that his strength has matured and under his control I think he'll need to push out everything in him to even stand a chance against Pickle.

I'm looking forward to a incredible fight.

For some reason sonikku I can't quote your previous post, but I think it's crap that Jack's blood is "diluted". Jack's the only one that left a lasting wound on Pickle(that being his torn off ear), he's the only one Pickle actual refused to eat out of fear for being attacked, and Pickle initially ran from Jack, just because of his fighting spirit, until he got control of himself and knocked jack out again.

So lemme guess, Jack's only a hanma if he's japanese? It's not exactly like he asked to be born of Yuujirou(nor did Jack's mother for that matter.) :roll:

I predict Itagaki will throw in some more fights to delay the eventual Baki or Yujiro Vs Pickle. Maybe Shibukawa, Doppo or maybe Oliva if he ever comes back. Not that it matters because I'm pretty sure they will fail miserably like everyone else has since there not Hanma's.

rod what do you mean? I totally agree with Mr.War. I think this will be the first time we know what will actually happen. Because if you think about it there's no other way. SOO is gonna end in few more years i guess. Itagaki can't make another Pickle or just throw some alien... We'll see for sure more fights of the secondary characters and here-there some baki stuff. I seriously doubt Baki will fight Pickle, or if he does their fight's gonna be either interrupted or delayed. Oliva would be nice, he was my fav. Kaku is such a damn characters as well... Don't forget Gaia, we're gonna see more of him for sure. So we have Retsu, Katsumi and Jack who are probably out of the fighting scene. Characters left to abuse - Oliva, Gouki, Doppo, Hanayma (i doubt), Shinogi and his brother,Gaia and there's a minor chance that Ali Jr will return (or him and Oliva are both out of the game). Did i miss someone major? I think the best thing to do is have some character interactions, make Pickle crush some other fighters and make someone defeat Pickle and then have Pickle beat the same guy (big surprise uh). Then the final. I can't imagine it differently.

I really don't see anymore antagonist for the series either. Itagaki has burned through every type of fighter imaginable and Pickle seems to be the ultimate extreme [A super strong caveman.] that no one can beat sort of like how Yujiro is. Throw in the sdtatements about the Hanma family's power and it really looks like it's going down a predictable route unfortunately. I honestly can't say I'm happy about how things are , but as it stands it seems to me that know one but Hanma's can beat pickle. If the top korakuen fighter lost this badly. . .What chance does everyone else? Oliva and Kaku are the only Non-Hanma's left that might be able to give pickle a challenge. . .Maybe even Guevera if he ever comes back. But, I really don't wanna see more people fight pickle. When it looks like no one can beat him but Hanma's it becomes predictably boring. My interest in SOO has dropped considerably, likewise so has my interest in Baki as a series. I'll always remember my favorite era's/moments, though and I'll always remember the original series which is my favorite.

Hopefully we have Garouden. SOOSH was so much better than SOO. My interest has dropped as well, but i hope things will be back to normal. At least Jack vs Pickle was several times more interesting than Katsumi/Retsu vs Pickle. I'm also starting to hate these moments when you have this great fight and all of a sudden Itagaki interrupts the action to make some (as of lately) stupid example. This was really cool in the beginning, but i don't want it anymore...

Garou-boy said the samething back when he used to post and yeah there are some moments like Doppo's conversation with Yujrio. I thought that was really cool, but there isn't enough to keep me interested. Also, I don't really like Pickle as antagonist, he's a cool character concept. But, he isn't really enjoyable for me like the other antagonist: Ali Jr, Oliva, Guevera, etc. Even Kosho is more interesting to me.

Yeah. Pickle's concept is really cool and original, but i think the fact that he's that strong doesn't make him that likeable. He was interesting in the beginning, when he wanted to fuck that chick reporter, but not now...

Tokugawa who's worried about baki's fate spoke with Yujiro.
They both discussed about the future match which oppose Baki against Pickle. Retsu, Katsumi, and even Jack lost against him , so why not Baki ? Hanma Yujiro tells him to have not fear about the issue of this fight .
He places confidence in Baki because this one is different from the others.

His son has the true Hanma heritage : He got a pure Hanma blood compare to Jack ("diluted") .For Yujiro it does not make any doubt that Baki will overcome Pickle.This combat has been set will ago by destiny itself.

So it's about Destiny… ( Yujiro , saying so , cut right away a tatami like to affirm what he was saying ). At the end He'll wait until the end to face the winner, his son !

At first I thought it was some type of Karate like Kousho's himokiri technique, but not sure sure now. I wonder if the Baki Data books would have it though?(Haven't seen one for sale since I missed a pair on ebay a few months back.)

I'm officially tired of the direction Baki is going in as well, Itagaki could've easily had Jack fight Pickle WITHOUT steroids, as well as using the Oni muscles and still lose, just to show Pickle's power level, without having it be because Jack's not fucking fully japanese, get the hell out of here. That's not even a cop out, it's just idiotic.

Personally, I never liked the idea of anyone having back muscle power up. I thought it was just symbolic of Yujiro and not an actual power. I prefer if Baki and Jack find there way of doing things that is completely different from Yujrio and each other. Jack uses enhancement drugs, surgery and such to grow while Baki does something else. The whole back muscle power, Hanma Bloodlines and such really killed the series for me. This was just the straw that broke the camels back.

It was said that Kureha uses his knowledge of the human body and he possesses the "Perfect Body". But, I really don't know how he fights. But considering that someone like Kosho who uses "cord cutting" [One of the Deadliest styles in Baki, since it attacks the nerves, Blood Vessels, and Tedons directly.] Regards his brother so highly. It's safe to say he might rank up there as the most lethal fighter. I would love to see Kosho train under kunimitsu, the results would be the most hazardous fighter ever Imo.

I'll agree to disagree with you there on the back thing, always thought it was a cool aspect of the series, especially for Yuujirou, but I agree with your point on Baki/Jack doing different things to surpass him. It's the ethnocentrism that pervades SoO that's really gotten me sick. I'm past tired of hiring about Japanese superiority in Martial Arts, now Genetics? Ugh.

I think it's interesting when it comes to Yujiro's Mytho's and it worked really well with his character to me, don't get me wrong. I just preferred if Baki/Jack had their own power unique for each of them. A good example of this is the comparisons made between Baki and Miyamoto Musashi. I really wanted to see what would happen if itagaki went with that direction. Baki turning his fang into a blade, that would have been fun to see instead of him becoming more like Yujiro in that respect.
