Hey! Just a little announcement here...

I will get a new computer pretty soon, and I´ll be able to do some "cleaning" work for you in case you´d be interested, Im quite sure that Im pretty good with the english language and grammar and stuff like that (casue I noticed a whole lot of errors in the WFP releases, no offense). I just wanna contribute in any possible way I can, would be an honor. Cheers!

Yeah, the WFP releases were sometimes grammatically a bit awkward, though they weren't done by us. As mkol2112 said, if you notice any mistakes in my translations then please PM me (I'll be working on translating the even numbered chapters from 158 onwards), as sometimes you do have to sacrifice translation accuracy for flow.

"casue" Whoa! By Christ, why did I have to misspell a word in that particular post, thats just hilarious. Way to make a nice first impression!

But in all seriousness, if I´d be working on the manga I´d be much more cautious of course.. I dont wanna be a bitch and complain, you know, its just, even though Im forever grateful to the WFP for their past work, some of it just had shockingly bad grammar to the point where "the message" got messed up.

And sorry, I havent been able to read you guy´s releases yet since Im unable to download at the local library computers which I use nowadays.. Im grateful either way though, it´ll be such a pleasure when I finally get to check 'em out! :D (in a few weeks, that is -when I´ll get a computer, and I´ll finally be able to help out if you should need me)

oh and sorry about the laptop I have all my scanlated work on is kinda overheating and shutting down randomly so I will probably just wait a day for it to start working again so 158 will be delayed a bit :( also I definetly can't accept any new recruits because it is getting kinda hectic with a lot of people joining so I will be creating a forum in which members of the group can talk about the work and how it is going.

Okay then. If you eventually do happen to need more manpower you know where to find me  (Cant do the actual translation part though, sorry)

Not that I wanna bother you right now with it but... Im so excited by all this so I just cant resist saying it anyway :bounce: In case you guys should decide to translate the first Baki series in the future, I can provide the jap scans. But I guess most of you already have 'em yourselfs, eh? 8) Sadly I dont remember where I downloaded it, just that it was a bitch to find, so thats why I bring it up.

The anime was a great help though (despite its "flaws"). Imo the manga is SO MUCH better, and I´d bet Im not the only one of that opinion. (Btw the OVA was a pretty decent adaptation, its totally worth watching in case you havent)

Yeah, manga is better... all fighters are even stronger. Especially these Hanma faggots. http://www.rawmangaspot.com/2011/01/gra ... .html#more

I was always wondered about several manga issues:

Who was that man attacked Yujiro in a hotel? Kureha or Doppo?
How it's possible to crush a tank squardon with bare hands?
And how it's happened Yujiro couldn't dodge Doppo's attacks while Ali Jr could? And it's obvious Yujiro's reaction and beasty instincts exceedes Ali's ones. Maybe Doppo wasn't at his best condition against Ali?

i dont see how it can even be linked to baki it looks like a massive pile of crap...

reading below its only tie to Baki is that the mother of the kid in the film is a baki manga fan!!! :argh: WTF???

read this to see how it is so unrelated to Baki and how truly shit it will be:

Baki Manga-Inspired Graffreeter Toki Film Teaser Posted
posted on 2011-12-20 18:35 GMT
AKB48's Rie Kitahara stars in comedy that pays tribute to wrestling manga

The Cinema Today website began streaming the teaser trailer for Graffreeter Toki (literally, "Toki the Freelancing Grappler"), a comedy inspired by Keisuke Itagaki's Grappler Baki (Baki the Grappler) martial arts manga. Rie Kitahara, a member of the all-female idol group AKB48, will make her film acting debut in this project alongside newcomer Ryōta Sudō as the title character Toki. The teaser features the theme song "Classical" by Neva Give Up, and the film will open early next summer.

Director Kenichi Fujiwara's film is based on the March 2011 stage play of the same name, which in turn pays tribute to the Grappler Baki manga. The "comedy of bravery and relationship ties" is set in a working-class shopping district that is threatened by an evil organization conspiring with a land speculator. A local boy named Toki was raised with unique talents by a mother who is a diehard Baki fan. Toki and the people of the district join forces to protect their neighborhood from zombie soldiers and other threats.

Itagaki's original fighting manga ran in Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine from 1991 to 1999. The story follows a young male martial artist named Baki Hanma who faces opponents in order to become the strongest grappler in the world. Baki wants to take the title from his father to gain his mother's approval. Grappler Baki has received several manga sequels, two television anime adaptations, and an OAV (original animation video).

what a load of balls

WTF with Hanma's family? Yuichiro is kinda pirate who reminds about Guevara, Yujiro is the badass pusher of skyscrapers, Baki lold at Pickle who in turn lold at dinosaurs, Jack is a damn bastard with ridioiolus 10 year old 24/7 training regime laughing while getting eaten alive... Is there (in manga) a NORMAL man who has Hanma surname?

Think AmanV is busy ATM so not sure when the next chapter is out sorry. All I know is my translations for 164 and 166 are done, but I have no input in the rest of the process.
