I got my Garouden 25 at Junku today. Only one remains.

Tanba eats at Kamikawa's house (the old guy that practiced Sundome karate at the Tournament and lost in quarters to Himekawa). Not much happens.
Then there are the chapters we already have with the new Judo guy.
Then the end of his fight with Tsutsumi Johey. Then Matsuo Shozan does his show.
Last chapter Tanba VS New Judo guy starts (Super itagaki style drawing kicks ass).
Last page is a note about the series "holding" status I think, but i can't read it as I don't know japanese (I coul have asked the junku saleswoman to translate it quickly, but I didn't think about it at the moment).

I don't spoil too much as it will be released soon I hope. I might make some pics this weekend if I survive tonight's new year eve :noel:

Well look's like Baki took out Chiharu's fingers with incredible speed. Look forward to the next chapter. Hope it's Retsu.

Man Baki is getting so epic, to me Baki is almost as enspiring as Hajime No Ippo. As for Gaoruden I have been neglecting to read the latest chapters, same with Bkai, can someone fill me in on what is going on with Jyohei, and who this new judo guy fighting Bunshichi is? Also whats up with Baki, I have been hearing about fingers getting ripped off and I saw the scan of Doppo ripping a guys' ribs out. So can someone fill me in?

The judo guy is new, he showed up and beat Souichiro Izumi by suprising him by pretending to shake his hand and then gouging him in the eye. Later he was following Shozan Matsuo but Shozan noticed him, and the judo guy then beats up some random dude in front of Shozan Matsuo. Later he challenges Jyohei outside his dojo. The judo guy got beat up pretty bad by Jyohei's relentless atttacks, then comes into the dojo a little later all beat up and gets Jyohei by surprise with a takedown and mounts him. Everyone in the dojo goes to beat him up, but Jyohei is mad and tells them to stop. The judo guy then continues to ground and pound Jyohei, until Shozan Matsuo comes in and beats the Judo guy up until he's completely out, giving him no chance to get him by surprise.

 Holy crap, can I get a link to that? Garouden is so awesome, I wish more people knew about it and Baki, I'm glad Jyohei started fighting again, but Izumi lost an eye eh? Damn, I hope Fujimaki gets a chance to beat this guy up wherever he is. And it seems Bunshichi is gonna clobber this guy now eh? We are getting into some deep stuff, I just hope we see more of Kurama, Tatsumi and even Crybaby would be nice, and get to find out the deal with this nameless judo guy.

:P There we go, Baki is keeping the flow going with these epic chapters, I love when a badass character give a douch what he deserves, think I can get a link to that and the chapter when baki rips off a guy's fingers? I'm thinking of buying Garouden and Baki off Amazon, even if they are in japanese.

I'm not sure if Izumi actually lost the eye but the guy did jam his finger in there and you see him in the hospital later with bandages over his eye.
Umm..and Crybaby is dead remember? He asked Tatsumi to kill him after he lost to him because he wanted to be with his dead mother again.

By the way there are links to some of these chapters in the posts above.

Also, I'm pretty sure Hanma Baki himself shows up later on during a tournament in Garouden, at least in the book series Garouden is based on.

Oh right, he snaped his neck, when I first saw that I thought it was a dream or something. And thnaks I will check them out. I really do hope Baki shows upa nd fights Bunshichi. But I want to know, after Fujimaki lost to Himekawa what happened? I was in japanese so I could not read it, but I though he was going to turn himself in, why and where did he go?

At the last second Fujimaki ran off again. We haven't seen him since yet.

Yo Fight fans ! I don't know if I am the only one who noticed this, but when I saw last week's Tough 2 cover page, it made me think a lot about NGB vol28 Japanese cover. Do you think it was a reference by Saruwatari to Itagaki as well ?

Probably coincidence, 9 out of 10 Tough and Baki covers are them standing shirtless in some badass pose.

Yo la taille du chap est peut-être liée à la qualité de scan. Le Tough de la semaine est lourd aussi.

Anyway the Father-Son fight seems to approach fast, but I really don't understand what the fuck is happening with the plot... Why going so far in Retsu's Boxing trip (even presenting his future adversary Bolt, who will very likely beat him) and switching back to the main story of the series and accelerating the fight's building up ?

That's the impression I get right now, seeing a bit of the old guys (Shibukawa, Doppo, Chiharu, Hanayama) and then in chapter 243, Itagaki makes it look like Baki-Yuujiro is for the next chapter... Am I missing something ???? I look forward for Sonikku's translations anyway and thanks for your great work man !!

Ok now let's see Bolt Hanma blow Retsu up and go to Japan to be Baki's last obstacle before stepping up to face his father.

I think most of the side-characters will get a last chance to shine, either in a final tournament or helping Baki challenge Yujiro.

I lost my New Grappler Baki #1, does someone remember what was Baki's time at 100m? I know he beat the world record easily. Also Retsu runs on water. Katsumi breaks the wall of sound. Jack used to run 100m at 9.6 something back when he started the drugs, and he clearly isn't among the fastest in baki. Now I'm supposed to be impressed by a Bolt and his 9.49...

I kind of agree, but just apply some suspension of disbelief and realize those scenes are only supposed to demonstrate a character is really strong or fast, and don't read to much into it.

Yujiro stopped an earthquake by punching the ground, if he can do that he should also be able to lift a skyscraper with his little finger.

That's kind of what makes me like Garouden better though, because that manga is a little more grounded so it's a bit more consistent.

I've tried looking but i guess i just suck at searching. Its not the best but its better than nothing.

OK so I read the scanlations of Graouden, the story is pretty interesting. Considering picking it up to translate .... I'll try a test chapter and see how that works out.

Man just gotta say envious of Kasumi, he had sex with like dozens of women before his match with sakura.

Yeah Great Tatsumi is a beast, like often in Itagaki's universe.

From a personal point of view, I would be very pleased if you were to translate Garouden, as it's a series that is not published in France, and that nobody translates (aside from WFP we all know that they don't give their work, which is ok now).

Anyway thanks for the last Son on ogre's. I am really looking forward to see just how the author wraps this dinner up... But I can clearly see Yuujiro leaving saying to Baki "Nice dinner, next we meetagain I tear you apart" or something like this. Then back to Bolt Hanma, last fight of Baki before the final showdown.

Son Of Ogre 247 - Thanks to Raw Bunko :

http://www.filesonic.fr/file/260480451/ ... re_247.zip

Baki and Yujiro play Jan Ken to see who's gonna wash the dish. Baki wins, but Yujiro proves him that the Stone beats the Scissors. Is that it Sonikku ?
Anyway that shows once again how far Baki is, at least physically, from his father...

@Sonikku

Same here, thanks again, like every time.

For now, for me, this doesn't even look like a potential fight. We know Baki always takes some time to enter a battle, but i can't see how he could even possibly have Yuujiro worried... This looks absolutly unbalanced as ever...
